Re: Found the Battery (pics)...

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but I would think that, with Euro versions that need to be right hand drive, the battery would be located into that extra box since it's no longer the driver's side!

Re: Found the Battery (pics)...

Sounds like the two compartments will be a boon for the guys who've been chasing a space to mount a second battery in the WK!

Though I guess you could hook up the jump points to another car to get juice to the seat.

The battery would have to be pretty much completely dead before it would fail to move the electric seats. Most batteries that fail to start the engine still have plenty of juice left to operate most accessories in the vehicle. Rarely do they die completely, which usually means that one or more lead plates have broken loose and shorted against one another. But since the battery under the seat isn't a typical lead/acid battery, no worries with that ever happening.

BTW, a fully charged battery puts out ~12.6 volts. A battery is considered "dead" at ~11.5 volts (some even at 11.9 volts), so it stands to reason that a "dead" battery that is unable to start the engine will still have enough of a charge to move the power seats.

Mangoe,

I've read that the 3g wireless device will be installed in the back on (if I recall correctly) passenger side.

Hi there, I have an alpine system an the amo is located in the back fender area, closer to the floor, on the driver's side.
The compartment under my seat looks exactly like the 2nd pic from posted above.

On the passenger side underhood, there are jump terminals out in plain view (near the fender). I've used them numerous times.

Took this pic the other night for something else. But in the top left of the picture, there is a blue and red thing. Those are the jump ports under the hood.

Forget the jump ports, we're going to need more information on why there's a taped-up cardboard box on your engine. Trying to keep your pet hamster warm...fabricating an old-school pro stock hood scoop...the Hemi is so ugly you had to put a cardboard box over its heads?
