lol lstowell - when my future car drives itself, i will chuckle that you pay way more for insurance, waste time driving, and like being a menace on the road among all the well-behaved self-driving cars. i will configure my car to stay away from you.

but for now... i'm still disappointed my summit doesn't have lane keep assist but otherwise i LOVE it.

i've ordered a full weathertech liner (floor/cargo) set which should be here friday so i won't mess up those nice berber carpet mats and the rest of the interior.

funny your username is GCOverland yet you have a Summit.

anyway, thanks, and congrats on getting the platinum package. i would have liked the less bling but the one i got was sitting on the lot and i couldn't resist. and of course saved a few benjamins.

Haha..yeah...when I signed up on this board almost 5 years ago, the 'best' you could get was an Overland - otherwise, I'd probably be GCSummit now...

I hear you - the Plat. Package is a great way for Jeep/Chrysler to make some additional $$ and I knew from the beginning that the package itself certainly wasn't worth $1,000. I also didn't mind the chrome on the regular Summit. What I wanted was the uniform paint on the lower body panels so the only Summit I really liked was the graphite grey which had those matching parts. However, I wanted some contrast to the interior color so in the end, I ended up with the package, a white Jeep (which I never considered before) and a brown interior.

Alternatively, I could have had those parts painted - or not, since I'm leasing. Painting would have cost me a lot as well and since the Plat. Package is an 'official' option, it impacts residual value and therefore, I only need to pay a part of it during my lease. A dealer-modification (if allowed in the first place) would have been 100% at my own expense...

Wow that is a lot of wood compared to most I've seen. Typical is the 11 to 1
Yours is like 9 to 3
