Re: Got it stuck today..

Dealership looked at the Jeep this morning..

May 18th is their estimate as to when they might have it fixed.. We were going to go away next week to the cottage with our boat and now we have no way to tow it.

Might trade it in for a JK Unlimited.. But my old problem is that I know I'll modify the JK and I don't want too My last JK got out of hand fast

Got it stuck today..

Anyone have any ideas about how to get it up in an emergency? I can just imagine having the suspension bottomed out like that in the middle of nowhere.

Jack mode maybe?

This is exactly what I was wondering.

I thought 'jack mode' just turned off the 'auto-level'?

edit: PS: nice looking JK-U Jeepingnet. I still have my '10 JK-U Rubicon, it's a great offroader. Lifted, factory lockers, 35" tires, bumpers and winch all add up to = confidence

Re: Got it stuck today..

There is nothing you can do if this happens. This is why we are getting rid of the Overland. We relay on our cars a lot with my wife being an on-call doctor and myself a Project Manager we are jumping into our cars and going at all hours of the day. Not to mention our summer home where this happened is an hour from good roads.

We have been driving a 2015 Limited for the last week and like it. (Rental) We might try to trade in the Overland for one and go from the v8 to v6. Just really for the reliability factory.

I will miss the Overland for the big snow storms we get.

Evolv0 is just really nice
Re: Got it stuck today..

Wow ... that suspension really BOTTOMED out... that has never happened to me thankfully. I haven't had any issues in the snow yet either.

My friend got a JKU and he loves it

Re: Got it stuck today..

It seems there has got to be a way to hotwire the air units directly. As in, disconnect from the system and control directly.

It sounds like the air pressure is lost, too, so you might not be able to do anything even if you got control unless you could re-pressurize the reservoir.

Nitrogen, unless I'm mistaken.

It is a very closed system with a ton of parts, sensors and lines.. They all depend on each other and if you are unlucky like me one simple failure will take out several other systems.

Dealership is now saying it might be a month before I have the Jeep back.

Details on the system: Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system
