Re: Granite or Billet Silver

I see billet Overlands all of the time. In fact my dealer has 2 on their lot right now out of 10 GCs.

Re: Granite or Billet Silver

I hardly ever see a billet GC here on the island, regardless of model... I've actually gotten multiple compliments on my Jeep because of the color.

Re: Granite or Billet Silver

Billet for me. Granite, Black and white were my next choices but I don't think you can make a bad choice with any color you choose. These GC's have beautiful lines and look sharp in every color I've seen.

Billet!

I just took delivery of my '15 High Altitude on Friday in Billet. Great color! I had a '14 Overland in Granite prior to this and, you can't go wrong with either, really.

Re: Granite or Billet Silver

I like both Granite (my 14) and Billet. I'll probably change up and go with Billet on the next one.

Re: Granite or Billet Silver

I'll likely go with Billet for a HA. I agree the Granite is "richer" looking. But I still choose billet for several factors:

1 - I'm surprised no other Altitude or HA owners have mentioned it... the DAMN chrome around the windows doesn't show hardly at all on this color. Sticks out like a very sore thumb on any other color besides white.

2- Much easier to keep looking clean. The Granite looks great clean. So does my True Blue. But just 1 or 2 nights of dew and dust and it looks fugly. I really like dark colors, but in the long run the billet will look much better. Had a dark green and then a silver Ram truck. Can't tell you how many times I had to buff that dark green. The hell with that, I'm too old.

3 - I've always liked the contrast with the black and especially the black chrome. Those black badges would be removed as soon as I got it home so they don't even matter.

I wish Jeep would get their act together and lose ALL the chrome including inside. Black chrome in just a few areas on the exterior. And could someone give them the part number for black chrome lugnuts? pretty sure gorilla has them available.

Billet by far. Only other color I would have considered other than white.

Re: Granite or Billet Silver

Billet for several reasons
I've never had a car That is so easy clean as billet silver year-round
I have left the car outside and in the am is is spotless or appears to be
If you're super anal about the easiest one to main course , darker cars hold dust more visibly
Here's an example w gloss black powder coated wheels aka spider monkeys
Good luck
