Re: Howiestt's Bright White 2014 Overland

did you install the lowering links yourself? any need for an alignment after? I'm going to lower mine and am going to order 22x10.5's. I just rolled 200 miles on it.

Re: Howiestt's Bright White 2014 Overland

yeah the links are soooooo easy to install, literally just gently pull the old links off and pop the adj links on. I did go get an alingment, but the camber was maxed out and they couldn't adjust it any closer to factory spec im like -1.7 up front and -1.5 in back. expect some excessive wear if you do lower your air suspension.

Re: Howiestt's Bright White 2014 Overland

Thanks. I'll have to check out the camber situation. I ran into the same thing lowering my c6 vette. I was able put washers in to allow for more camber correction. I'll look at this tomorrow and let you know. Cost me 4 dollars in washers and the camber was dead on after.

Did you vinyl wrap the mirrors too? I was thinking of wrapping my chrome mirrors and grey lower trim in white. I figured a pure white wrap would match the Jeep white pretty well.

I removed the covers and plastidipped them white and then hit it with a glossifier layer. came out ok, far away it matches. i may do white carbon fiber later on the mirrors.

Howiestt's Bright White 2014 Overland

Raised her up a couple turns due to the horrible ride and handling. Some new pics. Wish I could keep her lower but she was really squirrelly over raised manholes and road imperfections. In these pics she's in park mode. So when I drive its in NRH or sport.

Pulled the paneling off again this week-end to give it a closer look. It's a lot of work and the window pane looks like it needs to come out. No thanks. Local smaller auto shop said they would do it for $80 a door (x4 = $320). Not overly cheap, but the custom shop down the road wanted $150 per door. Probably just going to have the local body place do it in the near future. Don't trust myself to get all my doors back together and in working order if I start pulling them apart
