Mashie, I shoulda doubled down with you on that order!! I'm road tripping to Charlotte tomorrow (400+ miles each way) and may have my son order if from the iPad and MiFi while we roll! I never get tired of seeing that mod on the WK2. I want to blow the minds of the guys at my local dealer when they see it.

Even a retard can do it

Seriously, all you need is a plastic wedge like tool to gently pry up one corner of the existing bezel and it just pops right out. To install, you just snap in the new one. Took me 2 mins total for both. You can use a hard plastic putty knife or pick up a pack of these at Harbor Freight or any other tool store http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece...set-67021.html

Ordered on 12/31/10 and just received it today, so 2 weeks total. Great place to deal with. For those who missed the earlier thread, here's the link to the VG site: http://www.visualgarage.com/

Color matches perfectly, and this coming from an overly obsessive person like myself. Here's a close up pic of the antenna to show color match.

hah I hear you. If you are going to do it I suggest getting the order in sooner rather then later. It took about 2 days to process the order (email then paypal invoice etc..) then 2 weeks until it ships + shipping so I am estimating about 3 weeks total.

Re: Installed some mods today (Pics)

Forgot about the BEST mod that I did today as well. I got rid of that awful glaring green indicator showing that the headlights are on (like I couldn't tell by looking straight ahead). With a strategically placed piece of black electrical tape cut to a perfect little square, I used a pair of tweezers and carefully taped over the indicator. Now when I drive at night, I'm not blinded by that idiot light.

Re: Installed some mods today (Pics)

I will tell you this and this is probably the only time I would say this. I usually hate chrome, but for some reason I actually like to chrome fog light bezels. It flows with any color IMO on any WK2. ONLY THE WK2 though! Because it isn't over doing it! No chrome pillars please!

And the Shark Fin antenna looks sleek!

Maybe it's age-related but my eyes just aren't that sensitive to that indicator lamp bothering my peripheral vision.

But if they were, I would snip out a little square of xray film and use that as a filter instead of completely blacking it out.
