Re: Introducing..."Project MAKO"!!!...(pics)...

Just to give a quick update...

305/40's ride just fine (at least in the Coopers anyway)...much better handling, plus better traction off-road. Nope...no rubbing...but like any tire that's a bit taller than stock, if you hit a decent dip in the road at speed (in Sport mode on QL) the front tires briefly smack the inside of the fender flares at top center...but nothing to be concerned about, as in Auto on QL it never does it over the same portion of road. At full lock in Sport mode, zero rubbing. Also, since I have an Overland with Quadra-Lift...no, I'm not lifted (except using factory system off-road). Since I usually run it in Sport mode, I'm actually kinda lowered a bit...lol. 😋

As an update, if all goes well...just ordered the F & R Sway Bars & Endlinks for the SRT8 from JustforJeeps & local dealer...should arrive by this Tuesday. If they all come in on time...will be installed on Tues in PM or on Wed by my shop guy, just in time for testing on the road trip home for Thanksgiving vacation. Just looking to tighten her up a bit, to be a bit flatter thru the curves. 😎

After that...project will move forward with the following:

- Brakes (Hawk HPS pads), possibly Brembos later if Jeep becomes a lifer...currently have plenty of OEM pad life left @ 72K miles, so...waiting

- Diablo Tuner w/ HemiFever Tune, exhaust mods (in debate), minor power adders...goal is 400hp, up from 360hp stock w/o using FI or NOS...but not wasting $$ in crappy unproven mods, content to wait for now

- JL Stealthbox & Amp to upgrade OEM subwoofer in rear.

...if there's anything else, it doesn't come to mind right now.

Wife & I are trying to build our first house in 2015 and replace her 10yr+ old truck with a CUV soon after...thinking Next-Gen Audi Q5 or Porsche Macan S, something in that realm. So it's slow & steady as she goes on Project MAKO, it'll eventually get finished...if not, it's due to someone else being lucky enough to become her Owner, should I happen to justify an upgrade to Next-Gen WK3 in 2016-2017 era. 😉

Hope that works as a quick update for now!

It's been quite busy here, I find time now & then to quickly glance posts on the forums, just not enough to post anything.

Next update will be after the holiday...so here's wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there!!! 😃

I hope you all have plenty to be thankful for this year!! 😊

Enjoy!!! 😇

Thanks for the quick response still love this jeep

I'm installing 22x10.5's with 305/35/22's soon and lowering on road magnet mid drop springs your the only person I've seen running 305's all around and at a 40 profile no less on a non srt! This gives me hope that my setup will be fine even lowered since I'm at a 35 profile and actually a hair smaller than the factory diameter specs.

Re: Introducing..."Project MAKO"!!!...(pics)...

I love those Coopers in that size on your ride Michigan. That's the exact size I have on my Harley Davidson F150.

I'm contemplating getting them for the Overland as my summer setup. If I do, I'm going to get winters put on my OEM's so I'll have the rest of the winter to think about it.

If you have any issues with them in the meantime...rubbing wise....can you let me know.

Thanks

Nielboy - your concerns have already been documented previously in this thread, if you read thru it you will find your answers...no point in reposting, given nothing has changed since.
