Smile Introducing..."Project MAKO"!!!...(pics)...

This has been roughly 1 1/2 yrs in the works, a lot of researching & a lot of waiting and decision making (with some help from the wife). Now it has finally started to come together, there are a few minor things coming in the future...but for the most part, it now has matured into the personality upgrade that it deserves. Please help us welcome Project "MAKO" to our family!!

(Yes, it is nicknamed after the Shark ) Enjoy!!

The chrome has been converted to Carbon Fiber. Head & Tail lamp tinting is courtesy of Lamin-X.

Wheels are by Ace Alloy 'Convex' (Size: 22" x 10.5" +35 offset)
Tires are Cooper Zeon LTZ (Size: 305/40/r22)

(This is the 1st fitment of these Wheels on a WK2, they just started offering the correct bolt-pattern.)

Hope you all like!!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

(...more pics coming)

Absolutely wondefully rediculously sick! These wheels look really good on the jeep with the perfect tires to compliment. you have my jealousy.

I must say I really love those tires! Beefy just like I like it! One question, how is your speedo doing? Did you have it re-calibrated for those tires , say, with a Diablo tuner?

Everything has been functioning very well...roughly 500+ miles on the new setup & no issues to-date...no rubbing or anything (I've been checking for marks regularly, just in case). Of course, I don't drive around in "Park-mode", only as I park when out & about or drive into my garage at home...BUT...I do perform most of my daily driving in "Sport-mode" without issue, it handles very well.

So far, I like the Coopers better than the Hankooks I had prior...in the end, only time will tell as they wear.

Speedo has been fine, better than with the 32" Hankooks (275/55/r20's)...it was showing about 3mph slower than actual with the Hankooks...so if I wanted to do 75mph, I had to keep Speedo at 72mph or so.

Less of an issue with these Coopers, they are only about 31" tall instead...so Speedo is a bit more accurate.

No tuner yet, but may pick one up down the road...gotta pay for my Wife's schooling first!

Happy Wife, Happy Life!!
