Jeep at the beach

Well, after having my wk2 for a little over a year now and having taken it out on the beach many times I thought I would finally post a few pictures.

Fraser Island, Moreton Island, and Rainbow beach are amongst the pictures.

Re: Jeep at the beach

that looks fun! did you only have to air the tires down to ensure traction?

Yeah, I'm on 20 inch rims and aired down to 20psi. There was some really soft deep sand on the inland tracks, but that was no problem for the Jeep. Even snatched a couple of Toyota's out of the bog!

Re: Jeep at the beach

I had read those posts of guys getting stuck so i am pretty wary of venturing into soft sand.

Very nice photos. We were just talking about going to noose at Xmas - so this has made me think a bit harder about booking a trip...

If you are into camping there are some really good spots on the beach north of Noosa just south of Double Island Point. There are also some houses available for rent at Teewah beach (4wd access only) if not camping. Very nice quiet little spot there.

Also if you get a chance I recommend to go over to Fraser Island while you're up there if you have the time.
