Re: Just 3 Wheels On The Ground!
You probably have to press harder on the gas. I know this sounds stupid, but the BMW I had also would do the brake a spinning wheel (RWD). To me it just seemed like it made a bunch of noise and did nothing. One time when I was turning left, it went off and instead of re-actively letting up on the gas, I put the pedal to the floor (lots of abs noise). It was amazing how well the system then worked (and the car didn't fish tail). A guy at work kept getting stuck in his Toyota Tundra, I told him the same thing and after trying he said it performed much better in deep snow.
So, if you are like me that actually learned to drive in snow/off-road, your reaction is to let up on the gas to prevent a skid, when you really need to give it more gas as it takes a ton of torque and power allow the system to brake the spinning tire and get power to the other tires.
