I like the idea of a picture thread dedicated to a specific color (Thanks to the "Deep Cherry Red Thread"!). Especially colors like Maximum Steel! When I was recently in the market to purchase a Grand Cherokee, I was considering several colors. When I went online and searched each specific color through Google Images I was amazed that you couldn't find two pictures of Maximum Steel Grand Cherokees that looked the same. This made me realize that this was the color for me. Depending on lighting this color can look slightly different. So let's see your Max Steel Grand Cherokees...

Here is my 2015 Limited 4x4 about an hour after leaving the dealership....

Technically mine is Crystal Granite...
That was actually my first color choice originally! The day I got mine, my salesman brought the Max Steel one and the Crystal Granite one and put them side by side. I really struggled with the decision until I started walking around both of them. The Max Steel won simply because it appeared to change colors depending on the angle I was looking at it. But I still really like the Crystal Granite!

Thanks for the pictures!

Hi there,
Here is my Max Steel...hard to find clean pics of my GC...most of what I have is offroading.....didnt even remember taking this one.:D, since the pics there have been some changes...caliper covers are gone and now I painted them, also the side badges are no longer there.
Rgds.

Thanks to both of you for posting pics. I just washed mine again this past weekend, and it is amazing how this color POPS when clean! Actually, it is amazing that when pretty dirty this color doesn't show dirt as much as I thought it would. My last vehicle ('07 Silverado) was black. It looked dirty 5 minutes after washing it. My Max Steel from 20' away still looks good even when filthy!

Hard to believe Jeep is dropping the color!!

Spinach,

I did the geology tour road and continued on to Berdoo Canyon Road. I think the stock Michelins would be fine for the geology tour road. Berdoo Canyon road gets a little rougher with sharp rocks. You could get through it, just have to navigate carefully.

Had tons of fun out there! i definitely recommend geology tour road if anything!

You guys are killin' me. That's the color I had my heart set on, and I had just about gotten over its being discontinuing and reconciled myself to Granite. :(

BubbaATL- granite was my second choice. ( first choice when i was initially looking at the cherokee trailhawk before i learned my altitude was achievable.) Granite is a great color. Ever consider Rhino?, just curious. I know it'll depend on your trim you were targeting when purchasing. Haven't seen it on a GC only wranglers round me.
