mopar 18s and some roof rack pics...

Finally got some pictures with the new wheels and a shot of the roof rack.
slightly dirty, the way a jeep should be.
Tires are Blizzack DM-V1 265/65/18 which are 31.5" instead of 30.5. no rubbing, although i think it's safe to say this is the largest possible without a lift. Wheels are the black Jeep 18s from the Mopar catalogue. The shot from the back includes the magnaflow tail pipe on the right side. little bigger. this thing is BEGGING for a lift.

taking pics has never been my thing. sorry they're all pretty bad. but you get the idea.

Re: mopar 18s and some roof rack pics...

Great pics..the wheels looks awesome.

Did you get the cross-bars from Mopar or is that whole set up Thule? And I couldn't tell from the photos, but any issues with the antenna?

Can't tell if he took off the antenna...or installed a fin-style antenna?

Re: mopar 18s and some roof rack pics...

it is indeed the mopar rack. works decently with the thule, except trunk can't open all the way as it hits the box. can't shift it any farther forward, although that is one of the larger boxes thule makes (need it to fit skis). i just put a piece of lamin-x where they connect so i can open it and have the trunk hit the box without worrying.
the antenna is still there, just bent down/back under the thule (i have the earlier longer antenna).

Re: mopar 18s and some roof rack pics...

wk2overland,
Do you know how many inches long your box is? I'm looking at an overland and I have a difference Thule box that must work. I think mine is about 32" wide and 75" long....so I'm worried about the liftgate situation...especially the power lifegate, which could be a problem it it can't open the full way.

BTW, couldn't you just slide your box a few inches forward to eliminate the gate problem??

What do you think about the Blizzack's so far. I really like the look....but I really don't need snow tires.
