Its an off-road edition..do you honestly think they are going to put tires on it and call it a day? Give your head a shake. I think you're the one whos lightbulb is turned off.

I think you're Mr. Know-It-All. Again, if you KNOW what they've done to it to make it an "offroad" edition, then let us know. Until then, you're just assuming as usual.

He's a noob in the world of offroad driving, which he himself admits. He already said he's a street guy. Look at his Jeep! LOL

Re: More pics of an "Offroad" WK2

For interstate driving a good lift will actually make the ride quality better (as in an old school cadillac float way) Yeah handling will be impacted, as will road noise but most good AT tires nowadays are pretty damn quiet...not to mention all the extra sound deadening material in the WK2. I don't know how many lowered trucks I've been in where the ride was worse than stock for minimal handling gains.

I should note that i've never understood the appeal of a lowered SUV...you take a very capable and comfortable vehicle and remove the capability and the comfort.

Also those rock sliders are now available from mopar around 800 for the pair.

Agreed. I have a small suspension lift and A/T tires on my current daily driver and it's just as quiet and comfortable as it was the day I drove it off the dealership lot. I expected the A/T tires to be louder than the OEM tires, but I honestly couldn't even tell any difference at all.

Now mud tires like the ones pictures are definitely going to produce some road noise...no doubt about it.

My guess would be that garmin does offroad tracking better. I drive a lot of old logging roads to get to climbing and snowshoeing locations and most of those don't even appear on factory navigation systems and most factory systems don't do backtracking without roads very well...could be kinda important on some trails that have lots of branches in various directions...easy to get lost in heavily wooded areas where everything starts to look the same after awhile and its hard to see anything on the horizon to get your bearings.
