I agree entirely, but the problem is since he went with the black ops stuff and not OEM, the OEM SRT8 side skirts will not match up with the black moulding that the non-SRT8 Jeeps have. Im sure it will still work, but not sure if it would look weird to have that black moulding stop at the bottom of the fender, then all of a sudden goes to painted and smooth on the lower side skirt.

Re: My 2012 Overland SRT Hybrid

Looks Great!

Are we talking side skirts or wheel well flairs?

The side skirts are virtually the same on this as the SRT the difference is minimal at best. This is why we did not do them we put all the effort into the OEM quality. A minimal change side skirt would add to the overall cost and we wanted to be at 50% or less than the oem kit. The OEM conversion is 6-8k without paint and install so we accomplished what we set out to do. Besides gives a different look more of what the badge says SRT Design lol

Re: My 2012 Overland SRT Hybrid

I think the problem with adding the OEM side skirts would be it not matching up with the wheel wells. Since the SRT-8 has well flares that stick out wider. The ends of the skirts would bubble out too far past my stock wells. Technically the kit is a modified SRT design, thats why I thought I could get away with the badge.

Don't you need to paint the lower plastics so that it matches though?

Re: My 2012 Overland SRT Hybrid

Interesting no one cares for the running boards. About the grille, I didn't know if I should do the SRT grille because I had so much other chrome on the car and wanted everything to tie together. If I changed out the grille then I feel I would want to get rid of the chrome side moldings as well. But then I feel it would be like i'm trying too hard to make it look like an exact SRT when I still wanted to keep a partial overland feel as well.

Re: My 2012 Overland SRT Hybrid

Looks good, nice work. I would ditch the running boards and chrome side moldings and get the SRT grill. That'd look real nice

Looks great. I'd also lose the side steps, and SRT badge.

Very nice job. I like everything but as others said the SRT badge has to go.....poser!

(Just kidding about the poser part but ditch the badge).

Re: My 2012 Overland SRT Hybrid

Looks great! I like the concept.
My 2cents on other comments:
Badge. Understand the srt-design idea but why de-badge only to rebadge? All or nothing I say.
Grill. Keep it it looks great and is in keeping with your concept.
Running boards. Ditch em
SRT hood. You're not doing a clone, no.
Chrome sides. Swap out for raised Grand Cherokee lettering.

In all a great job and you have achieved your goal!

Re: My 2012 Overland SRT Hybrid

I don't like the running boards, I recommend taking them off.
Convert the DRL's up front to LED's if you haven't already.
Change side mirror caps to painted instead of chrome.
Then keep everything else exactly the way it is I love it. I may sound critical but that's just how I would do it. You have one awesome WK2
