I bought the same roof rails but have held off putting them on as now I am seeing there are other bars that can mount to the black trim already there so trying to deside to spend the $$$ again ( will sell the chrome ones ) but they are a lot more
The tires really don't stick out from the fenders, I wouldn't have mounted the spacers if they did. They're pretty flush with the HA's fender flares.

I like the functional rails over the trim rails for the look and the usability. I still have the roof rack from our old Jeep, which had functional rails, so buying these used rails versus buying a whole new rack was a lot cheaper. All I really plan to use it for is my roof box when necessary.

When you look at the High Altitude package, it's easy to see why they chose the trim rails over the functional rails. The package is pretty much a parts-bin special, and the trim rails fit the monochrome theme better than the silver ones. I just wish they had gone the extra step and blacked out the window trim from the start. Maybe future HA's will have black window trim now that the 75th anniversary GC has it, so it's already in Chrysler's parts catalog.

I forgot that I did snap a few pics while installing the spacers.

It's subtle, but it definitely helps. I'll try to take a couple decent photos when it stops raining here.

Re: My 2015 GC High Altitude

Thanks for the pics - You sold me Looking at the other pics and posts I think the 1.25 are the way to go !!! The one you posted with the rails threw me off a little bit as the tires seemed way out but the straight on ones prove its a better fit.

One question - I was reading about having to cut down the lugs - did you have to on the 1.25 with the stock 20" rims ??

It will be interesting to see on the new HA if they do add the blacked out window trim or keep using the chrome

No, I didn't cut the studs and I wouldn't have added the spacers at all if it required me to do so. The stock wheels have pockets between the lug holes that the stock studs fit nicely into. I can't speak for all Jeep OE wheels though, so if you don't have these wheels, I would pull off one of your wheels to check before ordering.

There's a pic somewhere here on JG of a user who went with 1.5" spacers, and the tires were too far out for my tastes. I will still get the mud flaps though.

Re: My 2015 GC High Altitude

Put my roof box on over the weekend for the hell of it, now that I have useable roof rails. It won't stay on long though since my parking garage at work is too low. Still, I like the look of it on the Jeep. I think I'd keep it on all the time if I could.

Last two things that I want to do are get some mudflaps and some 3000K LED foglights.

Looks fantastic. What brand box is that and how much do they run? Might need it for traveling since I have two car seats and a stroller. Not much usable storage for me right now

I'm right there with you. One infant carrier and one rear-facing seat in mine, plus the stroller is in my Jeep most of the time too.

This is a Thule Force XL 17. I got it on a pretty good discount, so what I paid isn't typical. I'd check REI or Amazon for deals on roof boxes.

Re: My 2015 GC High Altitude

in the process now of wrapping all the smoked chrome. Did buy the black gloss grill rings and replaced them, wanted those to look perfect.

I paid to have the window trim done, again, wanted that to look great, that is hard to do on your own. I wrapped the mirrors and roof, came out pretty good.

That does look great. I'm going to buy the black rings as well, as the vinyl on mine has started to pull away in the corners. I was skeptical that they could be wrapped in the first place, but the guys who did it said it could be done. 4 months later, it's coming off.
