I drive my wife's Denali (which grosses about 1000 lbs more than the JGC) and her's feel great, confident etc.
With the new added weight on these Grand Cherokees, I just dont feel confident in the brakeing power on this 5000 lb vehicle.....

Anyone else feeling same ?????
All our GCs have had soft brakes... I admit my other car is a Porsche, known for its fantastic brakes... But still, the Jeep is a little disconcerting at times. I would try harder brake pads as a first resort.

The WK2 we test drove (a V8 Limited) had similarly soft brakes.

Thanks for the brake replies...thought maybe it was just mine, but agreed, comparing the jeep brakes to my wifes Denali or even my Lexus LS, they are much softer.

Might try the suggested harder pads when its time to replace....

Service guy at the dealership also told me the gearing is so much different in these - that was in response to my inquiry to him that I feel like so much back pressure when I let off the accelerator, again probably just much different than my other vehicles.
