Yes stock shocks. They hold just fine

Just paged through this whole thread, and you did an awesome job! Any pics with those new fogs installed? Did I miss them?

Thanks!

Having driven the 2 different engine, I can say that both engine are super good. I dont even know which one I prefer. The V6 is a lot more gaz friendly.. the V8 is smoother and more powerfull. I tow about 4200lbs.. so the V6 is just ok. I tow 3 race bikes in a 2000lbs trailer + equipement. The V6 seems more responsive than the V8, and I love the fact that its a bit lighter in the front. You can definately feel it. I had to give the Overland back to the dealer beacuse of Qudra lift issues that they couldnt fix. anyway, Im glad I have the V6 now.

so I got this black baby. first thing, I changed the grille for a altitude

Then I painted the rear chrome plate. I used Dupli Color Perfect match, and I was really impressed with the match. Its perfect:

base coat

clear coat. This is not final pics. I need to wet sand and polish it.

then I added a Mopar Brake controller for the trailer. I wanted a clean installation, so I mounted in the central consol. Just drilled a 1" hole in the back, and ran the cable though there.

Next steps:

1- Headlights. I have ordered TYC replacement headlights because I know I can bake-open them. I want to paint them in black and install retro-fits I was affraid of trying on my OEM.

2- Ordered Morimoto H1 mini projectors, ballast and bulbs

3- I will remove the chrome molding on the sides

4- I have the 20" chrome wheels.. Im still unsure if I will powder coat them in gloss black.. or re-sell them and get 22" SRT8 replica black chrome. I will decide later. My wheels are in perfect conditions if someone is interested.

I will also have some laredo headlights OEM for sale if interested. I will keep this thread going with my other projects. Stay tuned

Hey simonvez....I know you painted your rear brow and ultimately changed it to an altitude brow. But can you tell about your wet sand/polishing process after clear coated? I actually just painted a piece that will fit over my existing chrome brow. The color is good, but it's not as reflective as I hoped it would be. I suspect I will need to wetsand and polish:

Je suis de Pointe-aux-Trembles, super, ton GC!
I also got a Laredo, with the Hemi, I traded in a Charger R/T, so I wanted to retain some power! Mine's also Black, but I am going the other way, down! I did the debadging, Altitude rear piece, SRT hood and Plastidipped the grille, need to do the mirrors and window trim, not sure if Ill dip them or have them wrapped...
Love the lights, are you taking orders? ;-)
Ben

I have been on the fence between picking up a WK SRT8 and a HEMI WK2. After scouring your thread here, I think you may have just convinced me to pick up the WK2. Your rig is perfect. Excellent work.

I do have a couple of questions for you if you get a minute:
1. How are the wheel spacers treating you? Coming from a performance vehicle, I have always been a little bit leery of them. But they seem to be more popular on Jeeps.

2. Have you had any issues with moisture inside of your headlight assemblies? I would definitely be up for the bake 'n' paint method for a much nicer aesthetic.

Thanks for the inspiration.
