MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee OZ

1st Couple of mods as per usual were to de badge the hood and the side grand cherokee emblems as well as the Limited and 4x4 emblems on the rear.
Next up , Palsti dip the stock 20's and rear Jeep emblem.
Last car I took the wheels off and did each wheel at a time with the Jack, very time consuming.
So this time I covered up the drums and brakes using the garbage bag method.
5 coats all up and I'm stoked with the results.
Next mod will be getting the front driver and passenger side windows tinted this Tuesday.
Also looking at future mods

Roof Racks
Trailer Hitch (On Order)
Plasti Dip Chrome Bezels and mabye a Black SRT Grille.
No Performance mods planned yet

Re: MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee OZ

looks good. A shot of black caliper paint will do wonders for the silver look on your brakes.

Re: MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee OZ

Originally I was going to do the calipers black, I bought the paint, I almost loaded the caliper paint to the plasti dip aerosol handle by mistake.
I decided to leave them and just do the wheels still on the jeep.
Might do them if I decide to do a wheel upgrade in the future, rather then take them off, can live with it for the meantime.

Re: MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee OZ

Had My tow Bar hitch installed today.
They left the rear tow hook in its place, I'm thinking of removing it myself, I can't stand looking at it from behind.
Anyone else done the removal themselves?

Re: MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee OZ

No, I havent done the removal but it shouldnt be that difficult, I didnt think you could have a hitch and keep the rear took-hook in place....can you post a pic?

Re: MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee OZ

nice looking motor.
"Genuine" hitches from NZ leave tow point on.
others (eg. hall towbars) remove the hook.
different shape towbar.
just had a Hall towbar fitted $638.00
Dealer (NZ made) $850.00 supply only plus flashing?
Allin Towbars $1250.00. Yikes!
cheers,
enjoy the drive.
