New '15 GC - Now where to go?

I think this isn't what is meant by "rides," but I'm looking for a recommended list of rides - drives - nice routes I can take my CG on.

I picked up my GC Overland ORA-II in December. I'm looking to take it off road.
I'm not looking to do mods - but I would be willing to buy off road tires.
I'm not looking to seriously endanger my truck or end up on a Fail Video.

I'm looking for a drive within a day's drive from Iowa with a few days camping and driving.

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place - I looked for a "trip report" section, but didn't see one.

I've found a site called every trail. http://www.everytrail.com/world_map.php

Allows you to search for different types of trips. Any more sites like that?

Google "jeep trails near me"
I'd ask the sales/service staff at your dealer, the good ones know the local trails pretty well and were much more valuable than the online "trail" sites, particularly if you ask for a couple different grades and then go back and report whether or not you or your passenger had to be sedated...

As you head a bit further west, there are some awesome off roads in Utah and Nevada... not the hardcore Lions Back type but really nice trails where there is actually something to see other than your white knuckles...

i've never been to the offroad park linked below, but I used to live nearby in ottawa, IL. you could camp at starved rock state park. lots to do, see, and beer to drink in the area. it's all about 2 hours west of Chicago, 2 hours east of the quad cities, on route 80.

there seems to be a lot going on in wisconsin: WOHVA | Wisconsin off-Highway Vehicle Association

unless road salt counts, neither or our GCs have gotten dirty yet.
