Jeep mats because the dealer's parts department had them in stock.
I have the Weathertech liners in our WJ, and they are great, but I heard good things here about the Jeep mats.

For the price, I'd say they are a bargain. Not as much coverage as the Weathertech, and not as deep a well for water but we'll see how they do. I'll report back if I decide I need to upgrade to a more costly option.

Re: New Baby is Home!

I know you did your best at capturing both the charcoal paint and saddle, but is there any chance that you can try and snap some more maybe in different lighting so it looks like a charcoal with saddle jeep instead of black with saddle :-) Your pics are very nice but unfortantely in that lighting the ones that show both the exterior and interior the car looks black. Only reason I ask is because I still have yet to see a charcoal with saddle in person and im dying over here waiting for mine hahaha. So far it seems that dark charcoal is a tough color to photograph and the lighting conditions need to be perfect to really show the charcoal so that it doesnt look just plain old black.

Thanks for the review and pictures and congratulations.
James

Thanks for the review and pictures and congratulations. How do you like those colors together?

James
LOL... I tell you, this Dark Charcoal is beautiful but hard for this amateur to photograph... low light or oblique angle and it just looks black. But here are a few others from yesterday that might show more color (and salt!).

I really like the colors... in truth, you don't really see them side-by-side since the saddle panels are next to black (or dark gray?) interior bits, not exterior metal. I think the impression when you open a door and really do see the saddle is a very nice impression.

Haven't detailed the interior yet, so with vinyl and leather treatments (I use Griot's) the vinyl and black leather may appear darker, but to me it looks gray anyway, not black.

Interesting comment. I have the same feeling. When I test drove the 3.6 and the 5.7 (many times) I did not see a big difference. Now its like WOW, "this things got a hemi!"

I am glad you are enjoying it.

JTS posted some much better pics of the interior itself:
Some new pictures of Saddle interior.

but I was trying to show the Dark Charcoal and saddle at the same time. I will say that both the exterior and interior colors look great to me (of course), but do change dramatically with the light level.

Definitely need to add license plate brackets... that bolting to the front fascia is just lame.
Great combo!

I think you did a pretty good job of showing the Dark Charcoal in that second set of pics. The bottom line is: at low lighting conditions, it's hard to tell the Dark Charcoal and the Blackberry Pearl from regular black. When you get more light though, each of those two colors comes alive in it's own way.
