Re: New Jeep for me - Brilliant Silver WK2 Laredo X (Pic Heavy)

More mods!
-Installed Dual Exhaust Cat-back system (Magnaflow 16929)
3.6 dual exhaust

-Upgraded rear door speakers with a pair Infinity Reference 2-ways. Wow what a difference this makes. I plan on taking out the subwoofer box and resealing it with bed liner of some sort

-LED courtesy/entry lights. These only turn on when the interior lights go on. (ie. unlock or open the doors). They also fade out like the interior lights.

Comparison of the stock 6.5" rear speakers. First two pics are of the oem 6.5" Alpine's. The infinity Reference's have a +3db button on the tweeters itself which I enabled. The sound is night and day. The fill up the rear stage so much better

Where did you get the curtesy lights? Do you still like them?

I got them off ebay. Although they were advertised as waterproof I went ahead and waterproofed them even more with additional silicone, liquid electrical tape, and heatshrink tubing.

Yes I still like them.

Did you put an amp to these or did you run them off the stock amp/wiring? I assume someone makes a plug and play adapter for the door wiring. Those factory speakers actually don't look that bad for stock. They look a lot better than the paper cones and flimsy surrounds I've seen in other cars.

I ran them from the stock wiring. Not sure if someone makes a plug and play adaptor but I went ahead and wired new spade ends. It was just cheaper and easier that way since I had the parts laying in my garage anyway.

The stock speakers aren't bad but I do have the upgraded 10 speaker system from the factory
