New Jeep for me - Brilliant Silver WK2 Laredo X (Pic Heavy)

Just transitioned from my '08 Patriot to this '12 WK2 Laredo X. I was really on the fence on the Pentastar vs the 5.7 Hemi. Ended up with the Pentastar (Gas prices and Overall Price influenced that). 80% of my driving is city traffic in Toronto so I would rarely get into MDS so it wouldn't be a good choice for me. Also, I would never use up all that power anyway, I'm only towing a 1500lbs bass boat/trailer combo which won't require a hemi.

I've had the WK2 for about 3 weeks now and I'm loving it. I've already added some items (slush mats, sidebars, front window tint, and did the H11 to H9 headlight bulb upgrade.

I also changed to winter tires just because the Lattitude reviews seem to be terrible in snow. I'd rather make sure my family is safe even if it means pulling from my pocket.

Enjoy!

Delivery Day

Added Slush Mats

Aftermarket tubular sidebars (got these from strictlyautoparts)

Winter Tires (Kumho I'Zen Stud KC16)

Re: New Jeep for me - Brilliant Silver WK2 Laredo X (Pic Heavy)

OEM roof cross bars installed. Very straight forward to install. For some reason the orientation stickers were placed wrong. Front -> was really rear. Mount them with them looking like airplane wings. If installed backwards they are loud as heck!

...back to the crossbars. These are a necessity for me because winter here in the North means Snowboarding trips where the snowboard racks get their fair use. Spring, Summer, & Fall months the cargo box gets mounted and we're off camping.

How do you like those slush mats?

I'm wanting those for Xmas I think they would be really nice for when I'm hunting.

They're ok. Not as good as the husky liners I had in my patriot. They don't fully cover the carpets as you can see in the pics. Especially the back. If they don't help protect the carpets this winter ill probably change them out for weathertecs or husky liners

Re: New Jeep for me - Brilliant Silver WK2 Laredo X (Pic Heavy)

Looks great. It's funny how most say the Latitudes are not good in snow, and they do not look like they would be. However, Consumer Reports rated them very high, and good in snow. Sometimes I wonder what they are smoking...We didn't have any snow last year, so I haven't had a chance to test them out yet.
