Re: New Limited S

Hi, More updated pics of my build.

Found myself some FR 22" SRT Reps on Ebay, always wanted a set but didn't want the import tax costs so I had to buy these as there rare in the UK.

Thats it for now, hopefully in a couple of weeks i'll have the window trims redone as it looks so much better black.

Cheers, Rob

I'm jealous! If it was mine I would tint the tail lights and it would be perfect! Nonetheless, great job hooking it up

Re: New Limited S

Hi, Looks like I'll have to look in to getting the lights tinted, only thing is i'll have to leave the reversing lights clear as my driveway is a pain to reverse in to at night.

I have it booked in to get the chrome wrapped on the 20th and have it fully remapped on the 23rd so its a good but expensive month for me.

Re: New Limited S

No, just window surround chrome, I had it done in plasti dip but I don't know if its just me but the bloody stuff kept peeling on the inside corner of the rear windows.

I might also get the opening on the front bumper done in gloss black as well.

Re: New Limited S

Yeah, I found out today that the ECU can be remapped, I was under the impression that they were locked but Celtic Tuning who I used to map my 300c have now got round this and are offering a map to give 300bhp and 483 ft/lb, I know this on paper looks less but these are dyno proven figures so through the whole rev range should be better, I hope.

Ain't that similar figures to the blue-spark one? I guess it all boils down to real world performance. His did you get on with it anywayz?

Re: New Limited S

I like the Bluespark unit and it does its job well, but I feel to get the most from the engine a full remap is needed so the boost levels can be increased and parameters altered to give it more torque through the rev range. As said the map looks to be down on power compared to the Bluespark but Celtic's figures are dyno proven and i'm not sure on Bluesparks, I would say that they use certain percentage say 20% increase on standard figures and use that number, but thats my opinion, either way it does work well.

You should get it on the dyno just to see how much power your putting down with the bluespark. In my s5 I had a tuning box which claimed to add an additional 100 horses, taking the car from 333bhp to 430bhp. On the dyno it was only putting down 379bhp with the tuning box.

That way you can compare the tuning box to the remap..
How was fuel economy?
