New Tires/ Phone Mount/ Black Rear

Long story short, I sold my '11 2WD V6 Overland and bought a '12 4WD V8 Overland. I've already painted the mirrors and rear brow body color, lightly tinted the front windows, switched to the Terra Grappler 275/55/20, took the Jeep letters off the hood, and will be adding my sharkfin soon. I've been looking for a clean phone mount and finally settled on a universal bracket I bought online. I mounted a holster that fits my blackberry directly to the bracket and am very happy with the setup. Yes, I'm still old school with my bb, but if I ever decide to get an iphone I can simply change the holster and mount it to the same bracket. I obviously like to have my phone visible when I'm cruising. Anyone interested in the mount can find it here:

After seeing a picture from 'rustyosaurus' with his chrome rear bumper step trim replaced wth the black trim, I decided to do the same. I really like the look of the rear with the brow painted and the step all black.

Love this vehicle and this forum! Peace.

First pic I've seen without the Jeep logo. Clean look. Love the look of the tires. Do you know if the phone mount could be used on the drivers side?

Re: New Tires/ Phone Mount/ Black Rear

Love the tires! Will be my replacement soon. How is it when driving? Does it seem heavy? I had them on my 2005 Titan and really enjoyed all the meat as I drive through manufacturing plants with nails and screws in the parking lot. I would catch a few but never penetrated the tire. :0 Can you take a few close up pictures of the tires and the width of them?

Album art displaying on a 430/730, what sort of witch-craftery is this!?

Re: New Tires/ Phone Mount/ Black Rear

Appreciate the compliments- thanks. To answer the questions:

* I believe the mount would work on either side, all you need to do is turn it around. It's important to note that there are numerous clips inside the dash that the bezel around the centerstack snap in to. For me to get my mount exactly where I wanted it I had to cut one of the clips off. Fortunately there are so many clips that it didn't affect the snug fit when re-attached.

* The Terra Grapplers are awesome. They did feel a little heavier than the stock Fortera when I first put them on, but I expected it given the size. Overall a very smooth ride, great handling, and minimal if any noise. I think the stance of the WK2 looks better with a bigger tire. I will take some more pictures in the near future and see if I can get a good close up.

* Not sure what you guys are asking about with the album art? If you look in the audio/visual threads here, there is an RHR Gracenotes update from Sox that dramatically improved the frequency I get album art matched to my music. Highly recommend- check it out.

Re: New Tires/ Phone Mount/ Black Rear

So with the gracenote update did you then rip those songs directly from an original store bought CD or just upload them via USB and the Album Art appeared? I've been trying for ages to get my album art to disploay with no luck.

Nice looking ride btw!

Edit: Looks like the gracenotes update sox posted is for the 730N RHR not my poor old 730N RER

There RER does have updates as well but the latest gracenotes is only like 800MB compared to the 3gb files for the RHR. Hopefully they come out with a complete update for the RER soon... either way I have yet to see a single album art displayed on the MyGIG so fingers crossed I get at least a few!

Re: New Tires/ Phone Mount/ Black Rear

Installed all the updates and still nothing.

dslide: Do you only get album art on store bought cd's that have been ripped to the myGig or do you get it for random mp3 music as well?
