Re: Overland Before and After Pics

DSlide - I was checking out your photo album and I was wondering, in photos 006 and "side after", you're at the same angle as in photos 013 and 017. Your Jeep looks so much different. Is the only difference the addition of the spacers? Are you at a different ride height in those photos? Man, I'm hoping that I get that kind of milage out of my BORAs. Keep in mind I don't have the adjustable ride height.
Any chance you could take a measurement from the ground to the front and then rear fender tops in normal ride height? I'm wondering if they're the same as mine. It might convince me to upgrade to the Overland 20's and Terra Grapplers.

Re: Overland Before and After Pics

Shark Fin for the WK2 is from VG Shark Fin Antenna - Home It's the Mark II. If you send them an e-mail with which vehicle you have and your paint code (found inside the door jam and also at wk2jeeps.com) they will send you a paypal invoice. It's $59 + $22 shipping for total of $81 (at least a year ago when I bought mine). dslide and others on the forum all have the same one.

Re: Overland Before and After Pics

Did you need extended studs with those spacers?

Otis- no change in the ride height when the photos were taken, all at normal setting. I measured ground to fender for you: approx 34.5" front and 35.5" rear. 275/55 is a bigger diameter, so I'm sure the distance is greater than stock. Must say I'm blown away by how much these 1.25" spacers change the look of the vehicle. Tires stick out just enough to give the ride a better stance, but don't notice a difference while driving. Sometimes I think I may feel the road more, but can't be sure if it's really any different than before. You'll find plenty of horror stories about spacers if you do a search, but after looking hard at these and the company that makes them I think I'll be fine. I took the spacers to a high end wheel shop in Newport Beach that is the preferred place for all the "look at me" cars in the area (beacuse I know someone who works there), and they use the same BORA spacers from Motorsport and had nothing but good things to say about them. Even took my Jeep back after a couple days to have the wheels pulled off and the spacers re-torqued, and everything looked solid.

Jeff- plug and play for the spacers I received. They're made custom for this vehicle, and fit perfectly with my OEM wheels. Can't say enough about Lenny at Motorsport- he'll answer any and all questions about your setup and what you're looking for if you call him 775-351-1000.

Thanks to everyone else for the comments...

Just installed the pedal kit and am liking my most recent mod! Happy Holidays to everybody at the Garage!

Re: Overland Before and After Pics

Dslide - Pedals look good. You've made so many big improvements to your ride, you can now sit back and appreciate even the little ones. At the end of the day, the little details can be as satisfying as the big ones.
Thanks for taking those measurements for me. Unfortunatley, I'm not at the same height in the front. I'm at 35.5" in the rear but 33.5" in the front. I guess that's why a lot of folks without the adjustable ride height opt for the leveling kit. Not sure yet on that?
For the time being, I'm just waiting on my BORA 1.25s. Lenny told me that they're being made and should arrive soon.
After that, I've got a decision to make - A) stay with my OEM 18's and get some Silent Armor's to improve the look and lose the car-like Latitudes. B) upgrade to some take-off Jeep 20's and put some OEM sized Terra Grapplers on it. C) upgrade to the 20's and go with the 275 / 55's.
I just don't want the truck to look like a lowrider in the front. I don't want a big gap, but also don't want the front fenders sitting on the front tire. I guess a leveling kit could count as another option??
Dslide, your Jeep looks great and having had 2 of these dogs, you've got a lot of experience. I'd value your opinion. Let me know your thoughts.
And, I agree with that you said, the Garage is a great place to learn and get ideas so you can make an informed purchase. Lot of great looking rides on here!
