So, is there a part# for just the shell or just gotta buy the whole ~$300 grille? My chrome grille and mirrors have got to go. It's decided.

Unless something has changed since I looked into this last fall, you have to buy the whole grill assembly and then remove the shell from it if that's all you want to replace. That said, I'm glad I pulled the trigger and did it on mine. Good luck.

Nice ass! Seriously, that looks sweet. I would NOT de-badge, but that's just me...

Re: Overland Before and After Pics

I've been debating about putting the "platinum" inserts that came with my altitude grill back on and replacing the black mesh. Finally did it and am liking the change so far. Since I'm not going for the totally blacked out look, I think it adds a bit more interest to the front end. Also pulled the wings off of the lower air dam as I've seen others do. Simple to take off and I think it looks better. Few pics attached, including the obligatory "ass" shot, which I think looks great. Peace.

I think it looks much better. I also love the lower silver lip. Very tasteful.

Re: Overland Before and After Pics

Slide - new grill looks good. I have a question - I like the looks of your truck. In reading back old posts, it looks like this is the second wk2 that you've had. On the first one, you put a leveling kit on it. It looked good when you upgraded to the 275/55/20's. But on this one you made that tire jump but didn't level it out. However, it still looks level. Is the adjustable ride height (if you have it) just sit more level on it's own?

Yes, I added a leveling kit to my first WK2 but it wasn't because I had any rubbing issues with the tires. My current Jeep has the air suspension and in normal mode I think the front end sits about an inch lower than the rear. Either way, the 275/55/20's fit fine. Hope this answers your question.

Good looking truck

Did you have the chrome mirror caps painted or did you find them some place? Sorry, didn't read the entire thread

Thank you. I had the mirror caps painted when I did the rear brow. A year later they still look great.

Looks awesome with the new inserts. Definitely like this a lot more than the all black look
