Overly excited about my Chrome disappearing!

It's not completed yet and my truck is filthy but I had to share. Had a guy here local to me in NY vinyl wrap the chrome on my '14 Limited and man does it look awesome! The front grill needs to be completed as do the roof rails but you can see what a HUGE difference the window trim and mirrors make even though these are bad photos in not good light. I highly recommend the vinyl wrapping to anyone interested in blacking out your Jeep. A few hundred dollars very well spent.

Re: Overly excited about my Chrome disappearing!

It looks like you went with a flat black? Much better by the way.

Re: Overly excited about my Chrome disappearing!

Thanks guys! We looked at several different options but went with the matte finish as it almost perfectly matched the non chrome trim on the truck.

I like. Not a big chrome fan. Only chrome that will be left on my truck is the exhaust tips. I will be going the plasti dip route.

All chrome except emblems wrapped for a bit over $300. Well worth it in my opinion.

Yup, that looks much better!

Not a fan of bling in general or chrome in particular.

What type of step is that on your tow hitch?

TIA

It's a Twistep. The liftgate is too high for my dogs to constantly jump in and out of the truck without any risk of injury so this step works wonders. It's large and stable enough for a dog to fully stand on it. Pricey but in my case fully worth it.

Re: Overly excited about my Chrome disappearing!

Time to Plasti-Dip the badges and emblems to complete the blacked-out look!

Re: Overly excited about my Chrome disappearing!

So I finally was able to complete the blackout. Front grill completed as well as the roof rails. I also did the emblems in Plasti Dip myself. I think it all came out awesome! So excited!

He also teased me with a single handle done in vinyl. I LOVE it! Now I need to bring it back one more time to get it all matched around. Almost there...
