Undecided on or

Looked like fun but I would hate to clean it up.

And I was concerned on getting road salt on my chrome trim

Dude, when you do something, you don't go halfway, do you?

Is the 4x4 system working properly again?

I see your problem, you would have never gotten stuck if you'd taken off that lower front air dam. LOL

Re: pics of overland very stuck in mud...

Amazing story. Good to hear she's out.

It's a little disconcerting to see the 4wd take a break when you needed it most (after the unstuck). Does anyone know why the system would crap out like that?

Re: pics of overland very stuck in mud...

Most likely from trying to rocking it without load on the tires.

Some wheels going forwards while the others begin to go backwards sends the computer into a big WTF moment.

Mine did it once on the beach when it was beached on its belly.

Another possibility is mud between the ABS sensors and sensor wheels on the driveshaft. Less likely though.

Nice pics. I just picked up my new WK2 Overland this past week. I can't even think of getting it muddy yet.

Nice pictures, looks like fun
Very sad about the 4 wheel drive crapping out, should not happen to a Jeep.

My guess would be drivers error crapped out the 4wd........and being in that bog on street tires. Not flaming.....just stating the obvious. Cool pics though.....lol

Re: pics of overland very stuck in mud...

I really want to know what caused the 4wd system to be inoperable. There's no way in the world that it should be caused by driver error. Or maybe I should say that there's nothing a driver should be able to do to his Jeep to cause the 4wd system to completely crap out.

I'm wondering if a sensor is broken??? And if so, what caused it to break?
