PS: moosehead, one glaring omission- suggest you add "effortless" to the keywords for this clip over on youtube...

Tell you what, post a video on YouTube of you doing that and I'll PayPal you a hundred bucks. I gotta see how effortlessly you manage to lift and secure a mountain bike on top of your WK2 without standing on something. So go ahead...it's an easy C note for you.

Re: Pics of Overland with roof bike rack

LOL, that was great. So you had to remove the front wheel. Then you had to lift the bike over your head to put it on the roof. Then you had to latch the front fork. Then you had to secure the rear wheel with a strap. And of course then you have to put the wheel in the vehicle. And you call that effortless? LOL

Sorry, doesn't look effortless to me. Try putting the bike on a hitch mounted rack instead and post a video of that. You don't have to take the front wheel off. You don't have to lift the bike over your head. You don't have to lock the front fork on to the rack. You don't have to strap the back wheel. Yeah, a hitch rack is MUCH closer to effortless than that nonsense. Your video is 41 seconds long. Putting a bike on a hitch rack takes about 5 seconds. Sorry, you lose. What you did required significantly more effort. I do love that I shamed you into posting a video though. You're quite the court jester.
