Did you see this "in the wild" or is this a photo you found on the net?

Re: Pictures!!

Found it on the net. Love the kit and all the "blacked out" chrome.

Is it something that's available for purchase or just a "concept"?

Still in the concept phase, I believe.

Re: Pictures!!

I know that lower front facia is removable for "off-road" excursions. Would be really cool if they produced that piece as an option.

I'm still waiting from the chrome mesh front grill insert to become available, and will probably start painting/blacking out certain OEM chrome pieces to achieve a similar look.

That IS the look. Its too bad Jeep's flagship model isn't like that. Still like the Overland, but this look takes the cake (sorry, 95% of my posts are agreeing with the body color mirrors and door handles )

Re: Pictures!!

Yeah I'm totally 110% with ya!

I've already got plans to have my body shop start painting, blacking out some of the chrome, and would LOVE to get my hands on that lower front facia!

Re: Pictures!!

Per a Jeep Press Release about the 2011 Jeep Street Cherokee from Sema 2010:
Quote:
The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee is also on the receiving end of a Mopar-style makeover. For the 2011 Jeep Street Cherokee, the Chrysler Group Product Design crew created custom 22-inch alloy wheels, while at the same time lowering the vehicle. The Dark Charcoal Overland edition Grand Cherokee is powered by a 5.7-liter V-8 engine, with an exhaust trimmed in Corsa tips.
The Jeep Street Cherokee is customized in typical all-Mopar style. Mopar floor mats with a unique design prevent dirt and mud from invading the interior. Mopar”s lighted door-entry sills and bright/rubber pedal kit offer much-needed visibility when adventures extend well past sundown. Stainless steel door sills are etched with the Mopar logo and offer stylish protection.
Additional sizzle is served up with a new custom lower front fascia, painted handles, and blacked-out headlamps. The Mopar chromed grille adds additional bling but doesn”t sacrifice durability, meeting the toughest corrosion requirements.

Re: Pictures!!

That is nowhere near the new srt8. I think the lower piece will be offered by mopar in the future though.

My gripe is the lower plastics on the overland.....why are they not painted? To me, it looks cheap.

Re: Pictures!!

It's much easier to clean and it will look better than a painted set after years of driving. Road chips are inevitable.
