I did mine over the weekend. You just have to pull back the top cover under the hood up front. Pull it up and unhook the snaps. Then you will see a bunch of hooks where the grill snaps. Take a flat head and unhook each one and pull it out enough to keep it from snapping back. The bottom isn't hooked it's just guides to keep it in straight. It look 5 minutes to get it out.

Thanks. I get a lot of real life comments. A lot of people stop and look at it as well. I feel like people have never seen mud tires or something lol.

Re: Plasti Dip Photos/Mods

I want to do the same but I will most likely mask it really well from behind.

I don't wanna do the whole grill. I just wanna do the chrome inserts. So I think I would need to take it off.

Sorry miss read your post. I looked at my grill gonna be very tough to mask from behind and ensure complete coverage of the chrome. They say when plasti dipping to cover past the desire cut off point but that will also be a pain when dipping a grill. Like I said I will be dipping this weekend and will do the grill last and see how I can mask it cause I really don't want to remove it.

But we technically have different cars. The 2014 front grille is different and may have different attchement points/method.

MY 2014 grill obviously different from previous years. There's a thread about HID light upgrade that talks about grill/ bumper removal. What I have read you gotta basically take the whole front end apart just to get to those grill inserts.

Re: Plasti Dip Photos/Mods

I am sure you have the instructions...but I attached them nevertheless.
Page 5 of the PDF is not very clear if I have to remove the front fascia before I can remove the grille.

Re: Plasti Dip Photos/Mods

I have my front grill and back brow plasti dipped black. I drive a 2013 wk2. Back brow pops off with a few clips top and bottom. Front chrome grill piece also pops off with 6 clips on top and 6 on bottom. I'll post a pic of my back brow and front grill. Once you do one you almost have to do the other though it looks so much better. Best of luck to you and post pics once you're finished!
