IMO you should change it to black. I like the gunmetal color but it doesn't match your other trim.

I was thinking about getting it glossified and have it looking like the Trailhawk a lil bit, but still a lil different.

Also i did clear matte dip on the side door moldings and it came out almost the same color as the paint so i didn't like it because there no diff. So i did the gun metal and that definitely looks terrible. So i might be pulling those out and replacing with the grand black lettering.

Re: Plastic dip rear

Here is my 2013 stone white with plasti dipped rear in black. To give you an idea of what it looks like. IMO I'd go with black. Gun metal is unique though, you don't see that very often.

Re: Plastic dip rear

Thanks for putting this up. Helps me in deciding what I wanna do with my chrome. I'm gonna try the gunmetal gray, hoping that'll go well with my mineral gray body color

Re: Plastic dip rear

I thought that was mineral grey but couldn't tell for sure. That would look good with the gunmetal. Whatever color you decide to do, I would def consider matching the front grill. I matched mine black and it ties it all together. Looks awesome. Keep us posted with pics once you have it finished!

Re: Plastic dip rear

Btw back rear chrome piece pops right off, its only a few clips on top and bottom. Front grill chrome also pops off with about 6 clips on top and 6 on bottom. Makes it a lot easier to plasti dip.

Re: Plastic dip rear

Nyates,

What tires and rims do you have on your Jeep? What size are the rims and tires as well. Finally, do you have a lift kit or a leveling kit on your Jeep? I have been looking at rims and tires and I love the aggressive look your tires and rims give your Jeep.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Plastic dip rear

Thanks for the interest RoMe2. Definitely an aggressive look and I don't think you'll find another wk2 like it. Rims are 17x8 machined black Rockstar XD series. Wheels are 265/70R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. No lift or leveling kit. Offset is important though, 5.88". These are the largest you can go with stock height. The tires measure 31.56". If you plan to do any off-roading or flexing I would def recommend a lift. I do mostly highway and trails so I haven't had any rubbing. Good luck and post pics if you decide to have them or something similar put on!
