Replacing my 2008 Laredo with a 2015 Limited

I haven't posted in a while, but recently upgraded from my stone white 2008 Laredo to a brilliant white 2015 Limited. It was time to upgrade, and I got a great lease deal on left over 2015 Limited with 23H package.

It's amazing, I thought I wanted to "upgrade" from a Jeep to a more luxury brand. I looked at the X5, Range Rover Sport, QX80, GLE, and MDX, but the WK2 was the most rugged, full featured and the best value. I've had it for a month now and don't regret my decision one bit!

Mods so far are the Mopar all weather floor mats and tinting the front windows to match. I'm on the fence about upgrading to 20" wheels.

Re: Replacing my 2008 Laredo with a 2015 Limited

I understand the 'value' proposition - had my heart set on a 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged and had CarMax bring one in - drive nice, but was filthy inside and the rear hatch was broken, which didn't give me a warm fuzzy about CarMax's 125 point inspection and LR's reputation.

Ended up with a certified 2014 and have money left in the bank for mod's & fun

Nice! Just curious, if you were looking to upgrade to a more luxurious vehicle why didn't you get a Summit or at least an Overland?

Re: Replacing my 2008 Laredo with a 2015 Limited

Congratulations on your new purchase,I am a fan of two colors available on JGCs white, and green. Its sure a nice ride you got there. As for being on the fence about larger rim and tiré package,I was for along time.Came across a real nice set of SRT wheels and tires(I think had they not been so inexpensive I may not have gone forward, not being cheap, but in case I didn't like the set up),got some good advice and info from the guys on this forum,so giving the set up a month, and if I don't like the trade offs, then off they come and back to the stock 18's.In any event, the few add one you have noted, sounds good.
Enjoy your new ride and was a good move to stay with Jeep,(I'm a Jeep fanatic) don't get me wrong,X5,Infiniti are great rides, but $ for $ Jeep can't be beat.I leave Range Rover off due to a real nasty buyback of a Land Rover Disgraceful II back in '04.

Yes, my thought as well... ?

Anyway, your Limited looks good, as always. (I like it a lot better with 20s.)

Congrats. Nice upgrade for sure!! I too was a bit surprised, you said you were cross shopping some high end vehicles, but for the Jeep you didn't consider an Overland or Summit? Either way, a Limited is nicely equipped and still a great value.

Re: Replacing my 2008 Laredo with a 2015 Limited

Feature and amenity wise the Limited was a big upgrade from the 08 Laredo for me. The bar was set pretty low...

I think I will go for an Overland or Summit for the next vehicle in 3 years when the lease is up since I'll be used the Limited by then hah

Re: Replacing my 2008 Laredo with a 2015 Limited

The Limited really has everything you need - and you can get it optioned out like an Overland for a grand or two less - and without the wood steering wheel. Only other difference is the painted wheel trim, unless I'm missing something.

Not to completely threadjack, but I believe the luxury comparison goes a bit like this -

Replacing my 2008 Laredo with a 2015 Limited

Very nice. I traded in my '08 WK for my current Altitude. Loving the upgrade so far.

Good luck!!!

If I use that logic since I went from Rubicon to Overland HA, I guess SRT is next and then in 6 years I will be in a 2022 TrackHawk. I better start working more.
