Returning Jeep owner with a 2013 Laredo X

Greetings all,

For my first post, I would like to say I am glad to be back in the world of Mopar. After owning 5 other Jeeps, I am very happy to buy my first NEW car, and it being a Grand Cherokee. All I can say is wow - Jeep and Dodge has really outdone themselves making a very nicely built SUV this time around. It blows away any other Jeep I've ever owned.
In the end - I bought a white Laredo X with the Hemi V8, Polished 18" wheels, Offroad Group, Allweather Group, Fullsize Spare, Sunroof, Security Group, Trailer Group, and Uconnect Voice for $38k flat. I think I did my shopping right, walked out the door with tax, title, tags, and extended warranty for $39.5k.
Sadly, NC weather has been absolutely horrid, so no new pictures of my toy yet. But I am very surprised with how well it is built. The paint is pristine with no orange peel, the leather interior is nicely done, and the dark wood trim doesn't feel cheap or out-of-place.

I saw online the Trailhawk concept - and I LOVE the gunmetal gray tailgate trim, grille, and wheels - and I am looking for something along those lines as my first cosmetic mods, along with color-matched turn-signal mirrors, and OEM projector headlights (VA state inspection is very strict on retrofits). I am keeping my eyes open for all of these parts but have no idea where to start - if they even exist! If anyone knows where to find any of these - I would be happier than ever!

I hope to post pics on here soon of my new pride and joy, and update it as time goes along with my modifications and upgrades - cosmetic and functional!

Congrats. I like the Bright White better than the Stone White. What color interior?

Black interior with the dark wood trim - it is loaded out almost identically to an Altitude except I have the bright-work and white paint. I preferred a white Jeep since darker colors are just uncomfortable in the summer for me. So I am looking at making this into my own one-off Trailhawk Jeep!

You do realize the Jeep is making and mass producing the Trail Hawk Grand Cherokee right?

Re: Returning Jeep owner with a 2013 Laredo X

I do realize it - though I wanted the opportunity to pick the parts myself instead of having it all as a package from the factory - and I was shopping for a vehicle to buy now instead of later because someone t-boned my last car and I wasn't going to be able to ride around in a rental forever. If I had it my way - I would have waited for the Trailhawk to come out - but I will take mine as a start to something unique.

I forgot to add that in my first post - that I was shopping for a new vehicle because of a wreck - and my girl's car is dying as well so we were both shopping at the same time. She bought a car - I bought an SUV. Worked out well in the end.

Re: Returning Jeep owner with a 2013 Laredo X

I appreciate it, man. I will be posting pics soon... and as I tinker and swap things. I deploy next spring so I am hoping to put some toys on it soon so I can enjoy it as much as possible before storing it for almost a year.

I will definitely get you some as soon as the weather picks up - I am in Myrtle Beach for vacation this week and the weather is worse here than it was in VA - I can't catch a break! I can say though it is pretty unique in a sense - I parked next to a Durango and a Chevy Tahoe, both white, and mine looked so much brighter and cleaner compared to the other 2.
