I was also pleased to see that the steering wheel leather and plastic trim is also all dark brown. This may be enough to sway me to an Overland from a Limited. I no longer have an interestin the saddle interior - just too many colors and high contrast.

How likely do you think Mopar will produce the Dark Frost Beige all weather floor mats?

I also drove a Limited with the Light Frost/Black interior. I definitely prefer the Overland. I'm sure this is personal preference, but I just don't like the strong contrast. If I end up with a Limited I will probably get the black interior.
Did you think the carpet and other trim was "brown" ? In most pics it looks charcoal or dark taupe to me. Kinda worried - we ordered Silver ext/Frost interior (live in Houston, darker colors too hot)

Nice, and you are much like me...lion's roar with a pussy cat's Yes Dear! I like it! And yes, women's diamond rings and other jewelry are the worst at tearing up auto items, especially the steering wheel. The ring turns around on the finger, and then proceeds to cut up the wheel surface.

On the Overland, the carpet is dark frost. This is a medium brown color. It is definitely lighter than the black carpet on the limited model. There are some photos showing the carpet on the floor of the cargo area that provide an accurate representation of the color.

Re: Saddle Interior

I just took delivery of my new GC Limited. I shopped for months - and saw all the colors of interior before placing my order. My two cents worth - the saddle is pretty - but IMO the color is definetely a bit different than the pictures depict. Also - the lighter interior color the Graystone and the Light Frost will have the dark upper on the dash and the lighter portion on the lower and floor will be different. The wood trim accent is also gray in the Laredo and X woodtone on the Limited. If you are as choosy as we were pay attention to these details. We opted for Black interior as you get more of a one tone look - not broken up sections of color. The new 430N radio is great -and the Garmin workas nicely. The media center even reads aloud your text messages from you phone and you can send messages via voice command. Amazing! There was some confusion when I ordered due to the changes by the factory on the media centers. Also the reason I was told that the sun roof is being taken off an ordering option on the X is that the manufacturer is behind in production.

Where did you see the saddle interior? No one else, except in WKs, has seen the color in production. Was it at the auto show with the display unit?

Nothing on Jeep.com. Still doesn't show Mineral Grey, Adaptive Cruise Control or any of the other tech package pieces nor the Saddle Interior.

Anyone cares to explain this to me? Why do you need light color to go through the car wash? My old ZJ was dark blue and never had a problem going through the car wash.

Sometimes darker colors show paint swirls and such much worse. Some car washes, even soft touch car washes, make those show up on darker vehicles. I have a black F-150, but I always go through touch free car washes.

Re: Saddle Interior

There are several studies that show that car washes are much more friendly to paint than hand washing. More water flow to take away any grit that would hurt the finish. I haven't seen the old bristle brush type car wash in decades! Now, if we could get the starter guy to not brush the rear hatch prior to sending the Jeep through, that would be nice.
