Everyone can have their own opinion! I know your not a chrome guy Scott so if they were black to color match, I bet you'd like them better.

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

nah.....I think it takes away from the look. If you had 17-18" wheels it would be ok...IMO. But with 20's....the sidesteps dont flow. JMHO

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

how much did it cost to get them and what is the process like to install? What if you have no e experience with mods on a vehicle? Do you need any tools?

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

Hardly, just never been a fan of side steps. They're also more of a distraction for people with knee problems. They may help getting IN, but not getting OUT. Ask my mom.

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

Wanna hear something funny? My mom finds it easier to get in and out of my Jeep now that it's lifted. Go figure? No side steps!.

That's PROBABLY the reason why I don't like them?

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

I know it is hard for my 94 year old grandmother to get in and out of my jeep. I'm going to try get the $450 off side step when jeep adds the 2011s jeeps to there accessibility program that happens first week of the new year for the past few years and you have been able to go 2 months back in the past. Not sure I'll be able to get it since I ordered in the chorme pkg but like they way it looks and it does help some for those that do not have the same hop as others

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

I find steps make it hard for me to get in the driver's seat in vehicles. I have big feet. So, if I get on the step with my left foot, I have to them squeeze my right foot between my left leg and the seat to get it inside. Or, I have to step up with my right foot and put the left foot in first, which then is similarly awkward, requiring my right foot to get past the left again. In Chevy/GMC's Astro/Safari work vans, I just climb up on the built-in step with both feet, turn around, sit down, then rotate inward, haha.

I do like the way those steps look though. Especially if they match all the other chrome. How much clearance is lost? I guess this would only effect the breakover angle, right?
