They are a mopar accessory. I obtained them online as it was the cheapest I could find and I was capable of installing them myself. I got mine from www.jparts.com (http://jparts.com/product_info.php?c...e13e63b6j3ted1) at the time they were 433.xx including the 10 dollar bulk handling charge.. Delivered by UPS 2 days later.

i am installing mine now--how in the world do you get the center three nuts on? They won't tighten because the top of the fastener spins freely...how did you do it?

Hand tighten as far as you can. Then pull down on the bracket to create friction on the top to prevent spinning, while you continue to tighten the nut. If you have the ratchet and sockets with the holes in the ratchet that fits over the screw, you can use a pair of pliers to hold the screw while you tighten the nut. I believe I did a combination of both. Once you figure out one of them, the rest are easy and go pretty fast.

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

Bought mine to use when backing a trailer in and out of the water to stand on when getting in the car. Side rails have always been useful to me to track less water and dirt in the car. Also to load a mntn bike and snowboards on the roof. I guess I'm vertically challenged. Gives me and my passengeres a place to bang their shoes after a long day in the snow or dirt. IMO- I think they look nice too, just hope they hold up.

I think your GC looks great with running boards, Jorde...very classy and understated. I'm in the process of grabbing a GC and this will probably be one of my first mods.
