Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

Someone said they "reduce clearance" - this is clearly not true unless I am missing something. Its my understanding they mount basically to the frame and sit just a bit lower than the door sills. If you raise the GC with the quadralift - doesnt it lift the entire vehicle, which in this case would include the running boards ???

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

FYI-My dealer told me today that if I am interested in the side steps that with a note from a doctor advising to a medical need of myself or my wife (i.e. Bad Knees, back, etc) that he could get them and put them on for nothing....Chrysler/Jeep has a disabilty program that will pay up to $400.00 for the side steps. He said everyone has bad knees or back......

+- 60 seconds each. Old ones pop out, new ones pop right in! Easy to follow directions. Pretty much I used a small flat head and wrapped it in an old towel so I didnt scratch the paint. Probably don't even need to use a flat head.

It took probably an hour or so per side, its a relatively simple process of mounting the brackets and then the side steps, no drilling is required. I got one on last night then it got to dark and finished the other this morning.

Same as first picture, not cropped

Looks Real Good! I have a 2011 GC Overland on order, white with saddle/black interior. Would love to add running boards to it. You have ordering info or website? Thanks...

Re: Side Steps install completed w/pics

I'm 6ft so for me... the side steps where for my shorter friends/family (especially mom). Also I find them aesthically pleasing.
