I made the mistake of mounting my Summer wheels a few weeks too early.
We had 5 inches of snow today and surprisingly the Hankook's did very well.
It was the slushy stuff so I'm guessing the tread pattern was treating the snow like rain.

Yikes....I hope that snow isn't heading to Ontario. I've had enough of it.

Our Maritime provinces out east got whacked with over 39" of snow in 2 days.

Did you have to remove the bumper in order to replace the chrome grill insert with the black?

The Hankook's have been balanced twice and im still experiencing a shake above 58MPH. I'm going in for road-force balancing tomorrow and if that doesn't work ill be swapping out for another set of tires.
Otherwise I really like how they're performed in dry, wet, and snow.

Very nice Altitude. Great thread.

What exact wheels are they?

How do you know it's not the wheels themselves that are causing the vibration? Did you have other tires on them without vibration?

That could be a possibility. My winter setup with the same wheels doesnt have vibration but that doesnt mean these aren't flawed.
I'll guess I'll find out more later today on my third trip to Discount Tire.

3 out of 4 reps were so far out of round they wobbled on the balance machine before they even mounted the tires. I sent them back and they returned my money. I bought 4 from a different supplier and they were OK. You should always run out the wheels before mounting the tires...

What brand were the out of round replicas?

I'm sure discount tire is familiar with the tire mounting process.
