re: SilverBillet's JGC Altitude OEM + Build thread

I hacked off my stock exhaust tips today.
Hoping to get some replacements welded on Monday.

re: SilverBillet's JGC Altitude OEM + Build thread

Great build and thread, MOFSTEEL. I followed the whole thing and took notes, mostly about tires and wheels, clearances and offsets. Also about the BlackVue Wi-Fi DR500GW-HD, Mopar Slush mats, 35% tint, and MityVac. Will have to check those out.

The short-term Superman plates was a wild idea, never heard of a state doing that before, I hope you got to keep them. I'm guessing you did. And I like your Cubs plates. I wish CA would offer an SFG plate. The Cubs should have a good year, too. Keep the faith. Before 2010 I didn't know if the Giants would ever win it in my lifetime, and now we're being spoiled. Just like the 1980s 49ers, or your Blackhawks.

Comments I wanted to share but they can continue another time, or over a beer. I don't want to derail the thread, that has happened before already.

Keep the updates coming, I'll want to see how this story turns out. Thanks for the good info here. Nice rig!

BTW, are you happy with those Mopar slush mats?

Thank you for the kind words.

Mopar slush mats were ok but didn't have enough coverage to keep the Chicago winters off the carpets so shortly before winter hit I ordered some Husky X-act mats for the fronts. I like them so much I bought my dad a set for his JKU.

re: SilverBillet's JGC Altitude OEM + Build thread

Tips came out great. I've had many exhaust over the years and honestly I've regretted buying almost every one of them. Fitment and drone issues drove me nuts so this time I decided to go with some dual wall tips.
I picked these 4.5" tips locally and they fill out the holes in the valence nicely.

re: SilverBillet's JGC Altitude OEM + Build thread

Welcome back to the chrome tip club

I'm still partial to the thicker rolled edge look of the Mopar tips... either way they look great on your Jeep!
