re: SilverBillet's JGC Altitude OEM + Build thread

This thread is fantastic. I just spend 2 days reading every post. I have the 15 GC Altitude in the Billet silver. There are a lot of great mods on here. MOFSTEEL want to just trade jeeps and you can start another project???

But I have a general question for everyone. My wife doesn't understand the fun and excitement behind mods like these and with a baby on the way you can guess here most of my money will be going. But besides Amazon and eBay anyone have any good sites for accessories.

Again this is an awesome built. I applauded you MOFSTEEL, nothing too crazy but just enough to make it your own and one of a kind, well maybe two of a kind if I come into some extra cash HA!

Thanks Mrr!

I have a sickness so after about 2 years I get the itch to sell and start something new but im trying to stick this one out for a while.

What kind of accessories are you looking for? I usually just hit up google with a part number and look for the lowest number with shipping. Then I search for promo codes to lower the price even more.

Thanks again ...my modding style is not "hey look at me". Most people wouldn't even notice the things ive done since I try to keep it OEM looking.

So I've already done backup camera and got the slush mats. But I'm looking to do front tow hooks, black grill, and on the fence about the headlight led vs hid. With this awesome thread I got the link for the grill and I think as you did I'll probably just swap out the high, low, and fog lights. I always got nervous buying from sites I don't know but sounds like as long as I do my research I'll should be fine. Thanks again

Yes I saw some one else doing that with gloss. I thought matte would look so much better and you know what I was right. Good looks!

Any thought of covering the chrome with black gloss?

Not bad, do you plan on wrapping the compartment and uconnect surround to match?

I was planning on wrapping it all but I couldn't get the other pieces to look good enough to my liking so I ended up peeling it all off.
This is why I haven't had my trim wrapped. I'd probably find a small flaw and rip it all off.

LOL

Hey, now that you've run your Yokohama Pradas for a while, how have they been holding up? I know you swap them out for your Blizzaks in the winter, but how do they do in the dry & wet? I'm thinking about getting a set, in the same size, when I order my SRT reps.

Thanks

My only complaint about the Yokos is they seem to pick up little pebbles fairly easily. I find myself picking them out of the threads. Other than that they've been great. Stable in rain or dry pavement. Haven't tried them in any off-road conditions.
