Just incase anyone is wondering an SRT hood fits in the trunk (i rented a uhaul to pick it up thinking it was going to be too big)

Bringing it for paint this week and should have it on the jeep soon

Re: * Skunkd's 2015 White GC Altitude *

Have you given any thought to the front valence? I just traded in my '09 SRT for a white altitude and that is the once piece that is driving me crazy out of the gate. I may take it to a shop and just have them paint it white.

I was in a similar spot. Loved my SRT but could not justify the gas, insurance, cost of parts (6+ years old), and the V6 moves enough to get me where I am going. Just wasnt practical for city life and it was time for me to make some smarter money decisions.

Overall love the thread, you have saved a ton of people time and research by keeping it in one and answering respectfully. All mods are tastefully done and this rig will be a head turner no matter what is under the hood.

OP, You traded the X5 and did all that stuff to a V6 Altitude. The mod's cost is surely not insignificant so the only thing I'm thinking is why didn't you get a black SRT or at least a black Summit w/adventure II air suspension? I promise I'm not bashing, just curious.

Because I realized fast SUV's are not my thing and this altitude is not my only car. I actually enjoy the fact that I can get 26-29 mpg on highway trips and use regular gas for my long commutes. It costs under 48 dollars from absolutely dead empty to fill up. The summit I just don't like the looks of at all. The SRT I do like but as much as I wanted one I would rather have an altitude as a daily driver and two other cars then an all in one in SUV form.

I'll be picking up either a C7 vette or bmw M4 come the spring to make up for selling my 2008 e60 M5. For now I still have my 2011 e92 335M sport to tide me over.

Where did you find the hood? I swear I saw your twin GC here on Long Island last weekend.

That wasn't my twin that was me 😄

I have a house in Huntington.

The hood is actually from Scottina06's red SRT from this forum
