I was talking to another member who wanted to trade mirror caps but that hasn't been settled yet. I'll PM you.

The door handles are going to be too much - I think. You have to remove the entire interior door handle which would make for a difficult cross country swap.

Yeah. I also kind agree with you - i think the color matched looks way better than chrome.

Re: Stripped!!

Jeep should make a Laredo Special Edition and add turn signals in the side mirrors and Bi-Xenon headlights and keep everything else the same except add the Lux Ventilated Leather seats and heated steering wheel and auto dimming mirrors. That would be the ideal combo and a Laredo so slightly cheaper insurance too. The 70th Anniversary was almost there but lacked the Bi-Xenon headlights and had the poor chestnut color accents. Black/Black everywhere would be perfect.

Or just make the side mirrors and handles matching paint on the Limited and change the wood grain interior trim to black or brushed aluminum.

i agree 100%. I can see the argument to put xenons in Limited (or higher) trims - but I see mirror signals as a safety feature, and thus should be included on all trim levels.

Re: Stripped!!

Man. I WOULD LOVE to be able to change the wood to brushed aluminum on the limited!

So i just checked. those chrome side door moldings are cheap to replace should you want to put them back on.. like $150 or so for all 4, so ill be taking them off as well.

Question, how easy are these to remove ? same process as debadging ?

I think I read on here fishing line works.

You might want to see if you can get the trim from the Laredo Y 70th edition: it say's it's got:
New interior satin chrome accents and bezels in anodized Silver and Black Lacewood finish
Here's a link to a picture: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/images/2011_...versary_01.jpg (it also was available in black/dark-gray).

Here is a picture: http://jeepgarage.org/attachment.php...4&d=1299930333

and here: http://jeepgarage.org/attachment.php...5&d=1299930333

Here's a better picture: http://microberto.com/jeepin/25.jpg

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

Back to chrome trim removal.

Here is what I did:
Recent Mods: Removed Chrome Door Molding, Grille Swap, Tow Hooks, LED Fogs & RRO Lift

Also, if you are careful you won't ruin the side moldings. If I wanted them back on I would just have to get some 3M double-stick tape; although getting them straight & even could be tricky.
