Re: Summit in Moab

Does it still have the stock Forteras on it too? Curious how they worked with all the complaints on here about them.

Complaints are mostly for on-road manners, off-road they seem to have a better tread block pattern than latitudes, just my opinion.

Yup!

I knew the trail was a mixture of deep sand and slickrock. (Thank You, Charles Wells!) Typically you don't want an overly aggressive tire for deep sand, so the Forteras had that going for them. I've always wondered how well a "street" tire ("Lawn & Garden" if you're from Down South) would do on slickrock - now I know.

The really big concern was the lack of sidewall flex in a low profile tire on sharp rocks. So far, so good.

Re: Summit in Moab

Way to go Willie G! Not sure I could that with a new Summit. I, however, will live vicariously through you.
