Summit in Moab

Went through Arches Natl Park on Saturday....just had to try the Tower Arch trail with the wife's new Summit.

She was a good sport about it all.

A little worried about 20's on the rocks....and 12 inches of sand in spots.

All went well. Not a single mark on the underside, either.

Re: Summit in Moab

That's awesome! Wish the East Coast was a little more rugged! Did you have the QL engaged in the highest position throughout? Great pics!

Re: Summit in Moab

Yup, QL was as high as it would go, low range, Rock (Duh!), HDC on.

When these pics were taken, it had about 1200 miles on the clock, two weeks old.

Unfortunately, my photographer was too excited to get pictures when the front came up about a foot on one climb - had her hands over her eyes, I think!

Re: Summit in Moab

Willy, this is a JOTM winning photo if you crop out that date stamp and zoom in a bit. + rep to you once you have enough posts.

Welcome and well done. At first glace of the thread title, I thought you were organizing a JG Summit get together in Moab, which is also a great idea.

Thanks for the compliments!

Moose - I also have this one (cropped to eliminate date stamp). Whichever you like best. I can email you the one you prefer so you can crop as needed.

Re: Summit in Moab

^Wille G, another great photo. Dayum. You're gonna have to decide which one is best, and then you yourself have to sumbit it to JOTM as a candidate.

Check out the JOTM monthly photo contest link below which resides in the other forum portion of JG. Read the rules and register that you have read such rules. Then post your favorite photo from your Moab trip.

Other tip besides cropping out the date stamp - do not use the attach photo feature as it shows mini photos. Instead bracket your actual photo link with "" to insert a full size photo. Check out the FAQ if you need more help.

You'll easily be in the running for August along with our fellow WK2'r, chibianh.
