Re: Summit on Eibach springs

Yeah, I also have them on my RX-7 but they are part of the ground control coil over setup.....after a short ride in that and you'll piss blood. Haha! It's that stiff!!
On the other hand my Jeep handles awesome now.....compared to stock. Love the way it rides now, sporty but yet comfortable.

When I bought my JGC SRT8 back in 2010 we did the track experience. Man was that fun. Anyway, we were taking corners in a stocker faster than any man should ever drive and they handled great. But as we guys are, I wanted more so put the Eibachs on the SRT and swore that thing drove like a sports car after that. It was sick how fast you could take turns. Still mad I got rid of the SRT for the Vette, what a mistake.

Anyway, my springs should ship tomorrow according to the site I ordered from, just awaiting my "they shipped" e-mail.

Update: Just got the e-mail, looking like Monday is the day. I already have my install/alignment appt set up with my buddy for next Wednesday.

Did you go with the 4x2 because of the QuadraTrac issues? I'm curious as to why you did not select 4x4.

I noticed you are in Houston, so climate/location could be the reason. I'm in the market for the 5.7L Summit and have no plans of going off road. So, I was thinking about not getting 4x4. However, I live in NJ and we do get snow & ice. Then again, it looks like the gent(madGC) in Chester County, PA went with the 4x2. Hmmm!!!

Also, are you planning on doing any towing? If so, how do think the Elbachs will handle that? Sounds like you're almost bottomed out with just passengers.

Thanks!

Only because I live in the city and the climate. I do plan to tow my track car but I'm, still working on it so it will be awhile. If I need it I will add helper air bags in the rear.

Re: Summit on Eibach springs

I saw this on another thread and thought I would share. Turns out the SRT8 has the same camber settings that mine has after lowering + some info about the SRT8 sway bars.

Re: Summit on Eibach springs

Cool, thanks. My springs were just dropped off by UPS (literally, minutes ago).

Install taking place Thursday night after work at my buddies shop. I'll update this thread, but will more than likely start one of my own for my brothers/sisters with 6 cylinder GC's.

My wife told me she wants to drive it post install and if she likes it, wants them for her 2012 too.

Well the deed is done. The end result is fantastic. I haven't measured the post drop heights yet, but will do a seperate write up with all the dirty details.

Re: Summit on Eibach springs

^^ Absolutely. It looks incredible. Waiting for my wife to get home from work before pics. She has a 2012 also so it'll give better perspective to folks on the fence.
