Yeah Chaoul in Kuwait, it costs about 2.5 Kuwaiti Dinars just for interior and exterior wash (without lifting the truck or engine wash) since the car is still brand new I didn't see the point of doing so until I get my first oil change done. I'm still at around 650km on the clock.
You usually tip the guy at least half a dinar (since they tend to pay a lotttttttttttt of attention when cleaning the ride) though I tip them a Dinar to each worker.
So 2.5 Dinars for the wash
a Dinar for the guy who does the exterior wash
a Dinar for the guy who cleans the interior
a Dinar for the guy that does the wiping down of the car and shining of the wheels/rimz.
So in total I end up paying about 5.5KD
Conversion of that to USD is about just under 20 bucks. Though I am considered to "overtip" them. The norm is around half a dinar to 750 fils (3/4 of a dinar). Some people tend to tip them a quarter dinar (250fils) each and some don't even tip. Though I regularly see half Dinars going around.
It's no surprise that when I go back there, the workers recognize me and I get better service than most people around. It's funny what good intentions can do for a person
There's only one thing better than a clean Jeep...and that'd a DIRTY JEEP
