Re: Thule Cargo Box - Mopar Cross Bars - Pics

Anyone else out there looking for cargo boxes for WK2 GC? I'm looking for a ski box, was looking into one of the Alpine models but it looks like none of them would fit without compromising hatch clearance, tried one of the yakima lopro but according to yakima documentation it would require a 57 inches from the front bat which we don't have.

I believe the biggest we can install is one of the thule xl boxes, I'm almost going with the sonix xl but it just looks gigantic... does anyone have any picture with a xl box installed? it's 89" long if I'm not mistaken, and I'm afraid it's gonna go too far on the windshield. anyone tried the alpine or yakima lopro skybox?

I need to carry skis up to 183cm :-( would be carrying 4 to 6 pairs of skis at a time

I got the force xl - 47 bars and 460 foot pack from Thule. I have the cargo box all the way forward it will just barley touch the tail gate. The box is a good size - taking first trip with it this week.

Re: Thule Cargo Box - Mopar Cross Bars - Pics

I also have the same bars and foot pack that I could re-use from my other car, lucky it was the same, just had to get a new fit kit. How far does the box go into the windshield?

The force seems a much nicer size compared to the sonic and still a fit for the size of skis I need to carry...

Looks good. I have the Ascent 1600 on top of my GFs Subaru that will also do time on top of the GC, glad to see it'll carry over nicely to the Jeep based on your pics.

Re: Thule Cargo Box - Mopar Cross Bars - Pics

I am contemplating getting Thule Sonic XL and thule.com says it will fit the vehicle. Does anybody has this installed?

Another option is Thule Force XL which is 6 inches shorter or Boxter but quite pricey. I would go with L but I'm not sure if I will be able to put my skis in there (170cm, site says 155 max)

Additionally, anybody has experience with those guys: Lowest Sale prices on Thule Sonic, Thule Hyper XL, Thule hitch bike carriers
Seems like they have some good deals.

Besides Mopar who makes a great looking set of crossrails? I have the factory siderails on it.
