I will get a closer picture Tomorrow, if you get me how long is the antenna I can also check how bad it would be... also how close from the hatch the antenna is located.

Went to REI as well and got Yakima Skybox 16 for 375 + tax. The hatch barely touches the box when box is closed. There is barely enough space to slid a piece o paper there. I have Yakima whispbar which are quite wide. Probably with round bars i would have an inch or so of clearance as i would be able to move it a little bit forward.

They didn't have xl sonic and I didn't want to take a chance ordering one as i need this for my upcoming trip over labor day. To bad I didn't see the pictures earlier.

I do get a little bit of noise on hwy speeds but barely noticeable. I did see minor mpg drop probably around 0.5 - 1 mpg.

For the price I'm happy with it. Those go rarely on sale.

Now I need to figure out how to store this bahamut.

that's really close! I still have some room to move the box front and back, I thought a couple inches was a safe distance!

But the yakima has a great price, it's cheaper by $30 even with the $100 rebate from thule!

I like the net and rubber mat that comes with the yakima, think they would be great to carry skis, specially the rubber mat

Nice pics mfa81!

Thanks for the info regarding the Lopro not fitting. I'm looking to predominantly carry skis (some nordic skis too, up to 200cm) and the Sonic Alpine looks nice. Wish it was a little larger than 10 cu ft... And I'm not sure that the length will even fit.

Probably will try to check it out further and keep an eye out for a sale over the next couple months.

I already have the Thule Atlantis 1800 from my Liberty and I'm ordering the Whispbar. I don't use the box too often so when I do I'll just have to grab the hatch to keep it from opening all the way. I'll let you know how it goes once I have it up there.
