Re: TINKAN's Overland and Day -1

I am looking to get what I thought was the Bright Grill with the chrome mesh. Found that the Bright Grill does not include this chrome mesh. I found the 2011 inserts and was able to get them for a little over $300.00 or you can get the whole grill for the Summit for $380.00

I did add the chrome fog lamp inserts and they look real good.

Now I just need to make up my mind... replace the whole grill or just do the inserts?

The ACC was nice for the 4 hour drive home but I found that the #3 setting to be a bit to sensitive and it would slow me down way to soon on the empty deset highway at night. I dropped it down to the #1 setting and it worked like a dream.

TINKAN's Overland and Day 10

I did have an issue with the Sirius but the dealer took care of it within a few hours. I also had an issue for a day where the radio would stop connecting with my Samsung Epic phone. Not sure what happened but it only lasted a day and no issue the last two days.

I am currently looking to verify that the front Grille on the Summit is truly chrome on the mesh part. I have black honeycombs and am looking to swap out but do not want to jump on the part until I can verify that the Summit is chrome. Can someone post a close up of their Summit grille? I looked on the site and could not find a good picture.

I was wondering if anyone has ever tinted the sunroof. As I do live in the desert and it gets hot at times I want to cut the sun down a bit more as the cover for the sun roof is very thin and I can feel the heat already and it is not even summer yet (thankful I do not live where netcoolery lives).

I posted a few pics of my 10 day old dirty Jeep. This will be my first weekend and it will be spent washing my new baby.
My kids named her "The Black Pearl" and then asked me if they can drive it.... lol... guess my kids lost their mind when they all became adults...
No chance of them ever driving it... ever....

I will provide a 30 day update after the first oil change when I will be changing to a nice synthetic

Re: TINKAN's Overland and Day -1

I had our Summit Pano filmed. I had them use the Huper Optik film due to its state of the art heat rejection. I felt living in the Phx area the heat rejection was a must, along with UV protection in case we leave the cover open. BTW the film works great on heat rejection. I would do it again for sure.

Re: TINKAN's Overland and Day -1

All the Summits I have scene on dealer lots have the chrome color inserts in the grill. Whether they are plated plastic or not I dunno, but they look chrome. They look good. They may also have chrome step plates for the door sills.
